Which industries are restricted from PG (payment gateway) enrollment?
Industries classified as high-risk by card companies—such as gambling, currency exchange, adult content, or legally ambiguous services—may be restricted from approval.
Can overseas businesses apply?
Yes, overseas businesses are eligible to apply.
Can startups or sole proprietors apply for PG services?
Yes, startups and sole proprietors can apply. However, approval may depend on factors such as minimum sales volume or business operation period.
What are the key criteria in the screening process?
Major screening criteria include:
1. Type of business
2. Legitimacy of products/services
3. Availability of refund and cancellation policies
Why is a refund/cancellation policy required?
It is required to verify consumer protection standards and prevent fraudulent or high-risk transactions.
What if the items I sell differ from what is listed on my Business Registration Certificate?
Your product or service category must match the business type stated on your Business Registration Certificate. Mismatches may result in rejection during the review.
Can I apply before my online store officially opens?
Yes. Most PG companies accept pre-opening applications through preliminary screening. However, a test webpage or basic product and policy information may be required for review.
What are the basic contract conditions?
Most PG contracts have no enrollment fee. However, special industries or additional service features may require extra costs.
Is there a penalty for early termination?
Generally, there is no penalty for early termination. However, if separate development or initial setup costs were incurred at your request, a termination fee may apply to cover those expenses. Details will be provided during the contract process.
If I operate multiple websites, can I use one contract for all?
No. Each website (domain) requires a separate contract and review.
Can I apply for multiple payment methods at once?
Yes. You may apply for credit card payments, bank transfers, and simple payment services simultaneously.
Do I need to visit your office to complete the contract?
No. All processes, including document submission and contract signing, are handled online through electronic agreements.
Is there a PG enrollment fee? Is registration free?
Most PG enrollment processes are free. However, certain industries or optional additional features may incur separate charges.
What are the costs for integrating PayShop?
PayShop API fees vary depending on the selected plan: TR Slim (prepaid credit) or TR Signature (postpaid billing).
Can I use your PG service while also using another PG provider?
Yes. You may operate multiple PG services simultaneously and configure your online store to use different PGs for different payment methods.
Can I register a personal bank account as the settlement account?
As a rule, the settlement account must be under the business entity’s name. However, for sole proprietors, the representative’s personal account is acceptable.
I am currently using a different PG provider. Can I switch to your service and receive detailed pricing information?
Yes. Please contact our Customer Center or send an inquiry email, and we will provide detailed pricing and service comparison information.
Can social commerce or intermediary platforms also register for PG services?
Yes. However, due to the nature of intermediary services, escrow settlement management requirements may apply.
In what cases can PG enrollment be rejected?
Common rejection reasons include:
1. Illegal or unclear products/services
2. High consumer-risk business types
3. No refund/cancellation policy
4. High fraud or account misuse risk
5. No domain ownership, etc.
I am unable to complete mobile phone identity verification. What should I do?
Phone-based identity verification is not available for individuals living abroad or without a mobile number registered under their name. Verification requires a mobile number registered under the same name as the applicant.
What are the fees for using the PayShop payment API?
PayShop offers two billing models: TR Slim (prepaid credits) and TR Signature (postpaid billing), with costs depending on usage and feature requirements.
